Farnborough MP Leo Docherty was pleased to visit Cove School on Friday 4th October to commend staff and pupils on the significant improvement in their most recent GCSE results
Leo met with Headteacher Dr. Andrew King to discuss the encouraging strides the school had made this August; with increased numbers of students achieving pass grades in English and Maths, and a five fold increase in those students gaining the highest grade, Grade 9.
Leo said: "Dr. King's work to improve staffing at the school, and a dramatically improved curriculum, puts Cove on a firm footing for the future and on a path to a very bright future. I was pleased to see the particular improvements in Maths, History and Computing, and that 90% remains a core strength with 90% of students obtaining Grade 4 or higher in Chemistry, Physics and Biology.
I was delighted to offer my personal congratulations during my visit. These results are the culmination of years of hard work and dedication by Dr. King, his fantastic team of staff, and all the pupils of the school."
