£15,000 fundraised by CMPP as Leo Docherty MP cuts ribbon at Twilight Runway Challenge at Farnborough Airport
The Twilight Runway Challenge is the Community Matters Partnership Project (CMPP)'s biggest fundraising event of the year, and a unique opportunity for all the project's partners, their family and friends to take part in an amazing, exclusive event! The Twilight helps to raise funds to support all of the CMPP community projects in the year ahead.
CMPP help companies to deliver a fantastic Corporate Social Responsibility by setting up and managing an array of corporate volunteering activities and opportunities.
Leo, cutting the ribbon at the event, said: "I was thrilled to be asked to open this weekend’s Twilight Runway Challenge, organised by The Community Matters Partnership Project! Hundreds of people were given the rare chance to takeover our world famous local runway at Farnborough Airport and raise tens of thousands of pounds for this excellent project based at The Sixth Form College Farnborough.
All of the money raised will support the ambitious work of CMPP Rushmoor to raise aspirations amongst local young people, bringing the business world into the local education sphere through mentoring schemes and community investment projects."
