Parliamentary Private Secretary at MHCLG

Leo was delighted, in September 2018, to be asked to join the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS).

A Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) is an unpaid aid to a Minister, selected from backbench MPs to be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Minister in the House of Commons. They often advise the Minister on the state of parliamentary of party opinion, and act as a two-way channel of communication between the Minister and backbench MPs.
