From the beginning of 2023, Leo Docherty MP has been contacted by a number of residents across the constituency who have raised concerns over the level of service being provided by Royal Mail, with often infrequent and sporadic mail deliveries.

Michael Hogg, Senior Public Affairs Manager, outlines how due to a higher than normal vacancies at the Farnborough Delivery Office, this is having an impact on mail deliveries to residents in Farnborough.
Leo replies to welcome the news that this issue is being addressed with four new starters to the Delivery Office who will help to resolve this issue in the coming weeks.
17 August 2023 - Leo writes to Royal Mail on the current issue with deliveries in the Farnborough area
31 July 2023 - Non-barcoded definitive stamps are no longer valid for sending post with Royal Mail
Residents that still have old non-barcoded stamps are able to swap these for barcoded stamps using Royal Mail's free and simple Stamp Swap Out scheme.
Post sent using non-barcoded definitive stamps will be liable to a surcharge.
6 July 2023 - David Gold, Director of External Affairs and Policy at Royal Mail, writes to Leo providing an update on changes to Customer Service Points
In the letter to Leo, David outlined the changes being made Customer Service Points (CSP's) by Royal Mail that serve the Aldershot constituency after a review process had been undertaken on their usage.
Leo replied to Royal Mail reiterating previous concerns raised on the amendment to the opening hours of CSP's, so as to seek reassurances these changes will not disproportionately impact residents, particularly those in more vulnerable groups.
27 April 2023 - Michael Hogg responds to Leo on the issues with current mail deliveries in Blackwater
In the response to Leo, Michael outlined how the Camberley Delivery Office is experiencing issues with staffing levels, partly due to high levels of sickness, which has led to disruption to deliveries in the Blackwater area.
Leo responded to Michael to request details on how Royal Mail are seeking to resolve this staffing issue.

9 February 2023 - Royal Mail respond to Leo to confirm that CSP's are not going to be closed
In the response to Leo, Michael Hogg states that whilst Royal Mail will be maintaining it's current estate of CSP's, they will be an undertaking a review of the opening hours.
Additionally, Michael outlined how Royal Mail are set to roll out automatic next-day redeliveries for missed parcels, meaning that if a resident misses a delivery, they will not need to travel to a look CSP to collect their goods, but these will be delivered the following day.
8 February 2023 - Leo writes to Royal Mail outlining concerns over potential plans to close Customer Service Points (CSP's)
In November 2022, Royal Mail announced a review of the 1,200 CSP's it currently operates, including those in the Aldershot constituency.
Following further announcements from Royal Mail, Leo wrote to Michael Hogg, Senior Public Affairs Manager, to request information on how this will impact local post offices.
