Following Colonel Nick's final engagement in his role as Commander of Aldershot Garrison, Leo praised tremendous leadership and service.
In a statement praising Colonel Nick's tenure, Leo said: "Colonel Nick has been a great champion for bringing together the military and civilian communities of Aldershot. It has been my great pleasure to attend many important civic events with him – most recently this year's Remembrance services in Aldershot – and to work with him on bringing better broadband connections to those that live on the Garrison, and in nearby SFA. This work has been successful and hundreds of service families soon, and in the future, will benefit from his legacy.
"He also led the Garrison through hugely significant events for the nation with exemplary leadership – not least the state funeral of Queen Elizabeth II, and the King’s Coronation.
"On behalf of all residents of the Aldershot constituency I say thank you, Colonel Nick – you have done the Garrison, Aldershot, and your country proud!"
