Earlier this week, Leo Docherty MP, in his capacity as the FCDO's Minister for Europe, was in Croatia to discuss a range of important issues, including science and defence.
During his visit, Leo emphasised the strong partnership the two countries have on a wide variety of issues of mutual interest. These common areas of interest included scientific research, national security, cracking down on organized crime and tackling illegal migration.
Leo's trip to Zagreb saw him visit the Ruđer Bošković Institute, in which he met and spoke with both British and Croatian scientists, as well as meeting with Croatian State Secretary for Europe, Andreja Metelko-Zgombić.
