Leo Docherty MP, in his capacity as Minister for Europe, this week undertook a three-day visit to Germany to discuss trade, culture, science and education links.
The trip saw Leo visit Munich, Düsseldorf and Berlin and meet with a range of politicians and business leaders for constructive talks. The visit was an opportunity to build on the strong links the UK has with our German friends and near-neighbours.
During a visit to the BMW HQ in Munich, Leo championed the UK as the best place to build the cars of the future - and got to grips with a brand new state-of-the-art MINI Cooper.
BMW’s multi-million pound investment in their Oxford MINI plant is great news for the UK's car industry, underlining the strong business ties between the UK and Germany.
