As plans are drawn up for the Wellesley’s Neighbourhood Centre, Leo Docherty MP launches a survey to hear what types of facility residents would like to see.
With the Wellesley development shaping up, plans are being drawn up Grainger plc for a new Neighbourhood Centre at the heart of the community. The group of buildings around the former 4th Division Headquarters at the crossroads of Queens Avenue and Alison's Road, and directly opposite The Cambridge Primary School, is the Centre's approved location.
Once created, the Neighbourhood Centre will be a bustling hub of community activity with plans envisaging a convenience store for everyday essentials, a coffee shop, nursery and outdoor space.
Commenting, Leo said:
"I want to hear what types of facility local residents would like to see at the new heart of the community. Whilst we await publication of the initial plans, I want to hear your views.
"I will be passing on this feedback to Grainger plc, so as to ensure their plans for the Centre meet your and your family's needs in the years to come."
